支聯會新聞稿（2021年5月29日）

今早，香港市民支援愛國民主運動聯合會（支聯會）3名代表：蔡耀昌（支聯會秘書）、梁錦威（支聯會常務秘書部召集人）及盧偉明（支聯會常委），出席公眾集會及遊行上訴委員會（上訴委員會）聆訊，分別就警方反對5月30日「毋忘六四」大遊行及禁止6月4日「六四」維園燭光悼念集會的決定，提出上訴及申辯。

支聯會過去一段時間盡力爭取舉行合法、和平的遊行及集會，希望市民可以安全地燃點燭光、悼念「六四」。

我們對警方不斷以疫情為藉口，限制市民遊行集會的權利，阻止市民悼念「六四」，感到十分遺憾，亦對上訴委員會今天駁回支聯會上訴的裁決感到失望。

雖然如此，支聯會仍然相信無論政權怎樣打壓，只要人心不死，燭光一定不滅！

在此，支聯會無奈宣布取消5月30日「毋忘六四」大遊行及6月4日「六四」維園燭光悼念集會，並即時停止相關宣傳工作。

支聯會不會以組織名義到場參與，支聯會常委、成員、義工等，亦不會以相關身份到場參與。

支聯會深信，香港人毋忘「六四」，亦寄語香港人用毅力及智慧，在合法、安全、和平、理性的情況下，用自己方式，在合適的時間和地點悼念「六四」，讓真相不被消失！

In spite of this, the Alliance continues to believe that no matter how much the regime engages in repression, the candlelight will never disappear as long as people remember.

The Alliance has no alternative but to announce the cancellation of the June 4 march on 30 May and the June 4 candlelight vigil in Victoria Park on 4 June; related promotion will be terminated immediately.

The Alliance will not be present as an organization, and the Alliance’s standing committee, members and volunteers will not be present or participate in any related capacity.

The Alliance firmly believes that Hong Kong people will never forget June 4, and we also ask Hong Kong people to mourn June 4 with perseverance and wisdom, under lawful, safe, peaceful and rational circumstances, in their own way, at the right time and place. May the truth prevail!

「六四紀念館」重新開放　暨
「八九民運與香港」圖片展

今年是「六四」32周年，「六四紀念館」今天（5月30日）下午2時重新開放。至下午6時，有逾160人參觀。歡迎市民網上預約參觀 （ http://bit.ly/64exhibit ）， 捐款支持「六四紀念館」工作。

「六四紀念館」同步舉行新年度的主題展覽——「八九民運與香港」圖片展，透過展板，簡述八九民運歷程及香港人的支援角色，並從不同面向回顧當年歷史，以及反思今日香港。

另外，在過去一段日子，「六四紀念館」 @June4thMuseum 感謝市民捐出珍藏當年的報章書刊，豐富「六四紀念館」館藏。經整理後，「六四紀念館」特設一小角落，擺放多出的書刊，參觀市民可透過捐款支持，揀選合適的書刊，帶回家收藏紀念或親子閱讀，鑑古知今。

今年，警方再次以疫情為由，反對支聯會舉辦「毋忘六四」大遊行，及禁止「六四」燭光悼念集會。「六四紀念館」特別設立小場區，將八九北京場景與歷年維園燭光結合起來，讓市民獻上鮮花，悼念「六四」，拒絕遺忘。

米蘭昆德拉在《笑忘書》中寫道：「人與政權的鬥爭，就是記憶與遺忘的鬥爭。」在今天的香港，我們特別感同身受。守護記憶，我們每人都是持份者。

昨日(6月1日)下午食環署人員到「六四紀念館」調查，指支聯會未領有公眾娛樂場所牌照，涉嫌違反《公眾娛樂場所條例》。

「六四紀念館」管理委員會經商議後認為對事件需要進一步諮詢法律意見，及為保障工作人員及參觀者的安全，議決暫時關閉紀念館，直至另行通告為止。

「六四紀念館」剛於5月30日下午2時重新開放。在開館三天，有逾550人參觀，支聯會感謝香港市民的支持和毋忘「六四」。

面對當前困難的政治形勢，支聯會仍深信香港人毋忘「六四」的情懷是不會消失的；亦寄語香港人以智慧和靈活、堅毅的精神，在合法、安全、和平、理性的情況下，用自己的方式，在合適的時間和地點悼念「六四」，讓真相不被消失！

尊敬的香港市民們，朋友們：

我是天安門母親群體代表吳麗虹，今天我代表天安門母親群體向你們致以最崇高的敬意和衷心的感謝！

天安門「六四」慘案已經過去32年了，現在想起來仍歷歷在目，我丈夫陳森林就是在這次慘案中被無辜槍殺的。當時因為是他獨自去的天安門，我在家裏等了一夜未歸，不知是被抓了還是被打傷了，我和家裏人在長安街附近醫院尋找一直沒有找到。一個月後，在朋友的幫助下，在北京市委一堆照片中認出了我丈夫，這些照片中的人都是各家醫院沒人認領的屍體照片。在天安門附近北京第四醫院停屍房我看見了我丈夫，他左側胸口上蓋著塊紗布，據醫院知情人告知，他是慘案當晚被市民搶救出來，送到醫院已經死亡了。

89年我丈夫35歲，他出生在革命軍人家庭，自己也曾入伍當兵，轉業後分配到北京保密工廠，我在北京一家醫院從事醫務工作，女兒當時只有8歲，上小學二年級。她爸爸的去世，我家就像天塌了一樣，一個幸福的三口之家被這突如其來的災難毀滅了。女兒失去了父親、妻子失去了丈夫、老媽失去了兒子，當年婆婆帶著兒子的骨灰回南方老家的情景我永遠忘不掉。生活上的困難苦和累，我們都可以忍受承擔，而壓抑了我們32年心裏的痛、心裏的苦沒有地方申訴。

直到現在我仍然不能理解，在和平年代有甚麼事情一定要使用全副武裝的軍人、軍車、坦克真槍實彈，在首都北京街頭、在長安街、在天安門廣場，向手無寸鐵的市民和學生開槍來解決嗎？作為一個死難者家屬，我堅定相信公道自在人間。「六四」慘案必將能夠得到公平、公正的解決！

我們天安門母親群體每一個活著的和去世的成員都有一個共同的心願，要求政府就當年的屠城慘案給難屬們一個交代。我們提出的三項訴求給予解決：公佈「六四」慘案的真相、對於難屬給予應有的賠償、對當年責任者就屠城慘案追究其法律責任。還我們做人的尊嚴！還我們公道與正義！

感謝香港市民對我們一貫的支持！

Speech of Wu Lihong, a member of the Tiananmen Mothers

Dear Hong Kong citizens and friends,

I am Wu Lihong and I represent the Tiananmen Mothers. Today, on behalf of the Tiananmen Mothers, I would like to express my highest respect and heartfelt thanks to you.

Thirty-two years have passed since the June 4 massacre in Tiananmen Square. In my memory, it is as vivid as ever. In this tragedy, my innocent husband Chen Senile was shot and killed. He went alone to Tiananmen. I waited at home all night, but he did not return. I didn’t know if he had been arrested or injured. Our families searched the hospitals near Chang’an Avenue but did not find him. A month later, with the help of a friend, my husband was identified in photos from the Beijing Municipal Committee of unclaimed bodies in various hospitals. I saw my husband in the morgue of the Beijing Fourth Hospital near Tiananmen. The left side of his chest was covered in gauze bandages. According to a hospital insider, he had been sent to the hospital by citizens on the night of the tragedy but was dead on arrival.

In 1989, my husband was 35 years old. He was born to a revolutionary soldier’s family. He also served as a soldier. After that, he was assigned to a secret factory in Beijing. I did medical work in a Beijing hospital. My daughter was only 8 years old and was in the second grade of elementary school when her father died. After his death, the life of our family collapsed like the sky falling. A happy family of three was destroyed by this sudden disaster. The daughter lost her father, the wife lost her husband, and the mother lost her son. I can never forget the scene of my mother-in-law taking her son’s ashes back to her hometown in the south. We can all tolerate the difficulties and exhaustion of life, but there is no space to express the pain and suffering that have oppressed us for 32 years.

Even now, I still can’t fathom why, in a time when the nation was not at war, armed soldiers, military vehicles, and tanks killed unarmed citizens and students on the streets, on Chang’an Avenue, in Tiananmen Square, in Beijing, the nation’s capital. As the close relative of a victim, I firmly believe in justice and fairness in the world. The June 4 tragedy must surely be resolved fairly and justly.

All members of Tiananmen Mothers, both the living and the deceased, share the common desire that the government be accountable to the families of the victims of the massacre. Our three demands are: allow the truth of the June 4 massacre to become public knowledge, provide due compensation to the victims’ families, and hold those responsible for the massacre legally accountable. Respect our human dignity! Give us justice!

Thank you people of Hong Kong for your consistent support!

Thank you all for your faith and perseverance in respecting life, loving peace, and stopping killing!

「我們堅持自由、民主的燭光，一定會再次亮起，照亮中國、光照香港，從再次亮起的燭光中，我們看見從專政枷鎖被釋放出來的人民。

歷史展示持久的光明與黑暗的抗爭。

今年「六四」32周年，黑暗籠罩大地，但我們仍然看見點點燭光，劃破黑漆長空，控訴中共以極權手段打壓人民自由的呼聲。人民不會忘記，亦不會放棄。燭光在，人在；人在，希望在。

自由是天賦權利，人民的必然選擇，人民不會甘於被奴役、被謊言操控！今天專制政權看似堅不可摧，但自由民主洪流必能將高牆推倒。

讓我們點亮手上燭光，發出「為自由、共命運、同抗爭」的怒吼，一起走上為自由抗爭之路，直至民主戰勝歸來！

Yet the candlelight of our persistent struggle for freedom and democracy will surely be lit again to illuminate Hong Kong and China. From that candlelight, we can see the people who will be released from the shackles of dictatorship.

History is a persistent struggle between light and darkness.

This year on the 32nd anniversary of June 4, darkness has enveloped the land, and yet we see candlelight that cuts through the darkness, shining a light on the totalitarian oppression of the Chinese Communist Party. People will never forget or give up. Where there is candlelight, there are people. Where there are people, there is hope.

Freedom is a natural right, the inevitable will of the people. We will never allow ourselves to be enslaved or manipulated by lies. Today the authoritarian regime may seem indestructible, but the tide of freedom and democracy will one day bring down its high walls.

Let us light the candles in our hands, let us cry out, “For freedom! a common fate, a shared struggle”, let us walk together on the road to freedom, until the victory of democracy is ours! 」

去年「六四」燭光集會後，支聯會常委及民主派多人被控，案件6月11日在西九龍裁判法院再提堂，呼籲市民旁聽聲援。

出庭的20名被告分別被票控「舉行未經批准集結」、「煽惑他人參與未經批准集結」及「明知而參與未經批准集結」等罪。

After the June 4 candlelight vigil in 2020, various standing committee members of the Alliance and democrats were charged with ‘holding an unauthorised assembly’, ‘inciting any other person to take part in an unauthorised assembly’ and ‘knowingly takes part in such unauthorised assembly’ and other crimes.

The trial process of the ‘June 4th assembly’ case will last long. Lester Shum, Tiffany Yuen and Jannelle Rosalynne Leung are appealing against the sentence. The other 20 defendants, including Jimmy Lai, Lee Cheuk-yan, Albert Ho and Tonyee Chow will also be brought before the court successively:

・ 23 July: 10 defendants who have not determined to plead guilty will be brought before the court to express their intent to plead guilty
・ 9 September: Two defendants have pleaded guilty will be brought before the court for plea in mitigation
・ 1 November: trial of 8 defendants who pleaded not guilty

The Alliance will bear all the defendants' litigation costs. Except for the few defendants who have received legal aid, the estimated litigation costs are as high as $500,000 to 1,000,000 and are very much in need of public donations.
