英國傳媒報道，中方為推動在舊皇家鑄幣廠興建超級大使館，聘用了一間與執政工黨關係密切的顧問公司負責遊說。該公司被揭發除了曾捐款予財相李韻晴的國會私人秘書外，公司創辦人及員工亦曾代表工黨參選。
另一邊廂，多個在英港人組織呼籲下月15日參加示威，香港民主委員會（HKDC）高級國際倡議幹事劉珈汶表示，當日集會非常重要，除要反駁倫敦警方認為上址不會經常出現大型集會，亦要再次證明會影響交通。
