多個在英港人組織於上周六（15日）在倫敦發起第二次大規模示威活動，反對中國在舊皇家鑄幣廠興建「超級大使館」的計劃。主辦單位表示，當日有5000至6000人參與，規模較上月首次集會更大。
據悉，倫敦警察廳在集會前一天（14日）致函主辦組織，以「集會可能對社區生活造成嚴重干擾」為由，將示威區域限制在舊皇家鑄幣廠外的側街，而非上月集會的正門外馬路。警方對此示威活動進行了嚴密佈防，派出數百名警員在示威區內外及附近馬路戒備，幾乎每隔十米就有警員站崗，並使用大量鐵欄圍封示威區，防止示威者進入其他區域。
IPAC分析員鄺頌晴批評，英國警方的限制直接侵犯了集會與言論自由。她表示：「他們企圖將我們困在大使館場地側邊，而該處將被一堵20英尺高的圍牆遮擋。我們在香港已經歷太多這類手段，萬萬沒想到會在英國再次經歷。這種做法是對我們自由的公然打壓，只會進一步激化局勢。」
現場有示威者亦表示除了遊行和集會，還需要嘗試其他方法或行動，可能會以更激進方式表達，才能促使英國政府停止興建「超級大使館」的計劃。有其他示威者坦言，面對倫敦警察的鐵馬佈防，有一種回到香港中聯辦鐵馬陣的感覺。

倫敦警察廳（Metropolitan Police）在內閣大臣作出決定前公開承認，中國擬在倫敦舊皇家鑄幣廠興建「超級大使館」無法安全容納超過500人的示威，若發生成千上萬人參與的大規模抗議活動，將需要調動更多警力應對。IPAC高級分析員鄺頌晴接受《追新聞》訪問時表示，由於塔村市議會就中國超級大使館規劃諮詢已完結，不會再重啟諮詢程序，但對於倫敦警察廳提交的報告會有一定影響力，「因為佢哋其實之前已轉咗兩次軚，又話2,000人、又話1,200人，兩個評論都唔準確，對於Angela Rayner（副首相兼地方發展、房屋及社區大臣韋雅蘭）考慮是否批准超級大使館興建有一定影響。」
