D-二聚體是新鮮血栓形成敏感血液生化指標。但其變化窗口時間短，通常在有新鮮血栓形成的數天內數值升高，隨後很快恢復正常。所以，不能單純做為檢測有無血栓存在，更不能做為判斷有無疫苗併發症，或是否接種新冠毒疫苗的標準。
