A woman and her friends got striked and severely injured after turning down a man who inappropriately approached her.
The man walked up to the girl saying “I want to f*ck you” while putting his hand on her back. After the woman’s rejection, the man violently assaulted the woman and her friends which lasted over 3 minutes all being recorded on CCTV.
This gruesome footage first became viral online among female netizens who could empathize with the victim.
The video gained popularity over time and incited outrage questioning police authority. As netizens inquired prosecution of the attackers, more victims from Tangshan city started sharing their own experience of being harassed by gangs and ignored by government officials.
